Role of MDI: Project implementer

 

Project implementation period: April 11, 2022 – March 31, 2023

 

Geographical coverage: Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv Oblasts

 

Project goals:

  • to ensure increased community engagement of citizens in public life of the cities and building good partnerships between local councils, OSBBs (HOAs), NGOs, and citizens;
  • to increase the culture of good neighborliness and civic culture in Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv oblasts, demonstrating to the whole of Ukraine the possibilities and advantages of uniting citizens in groups and coalitions;
  • to increase the interaction of citizens with civil society groups.

Inter alia, project includes such components:

  • communication campaign on restoration of residential and public spaces in the cities affected by the military actions
  • media campaign on actualization of values in the context of war and post-war restoration of the Ukrainian cities
  • informational and outreach campaign for multi-apartment buildings’ (MAB) co-owners during armed Russian aggression
  • training campaign for MAB co-owners, select TA and wider public during war time
  • training campaign for LSGs reps during martial law and post-war period
  • training courses in housing management for the school students
  • mobilization activities for OSBBs and city residents
  • consultancy support for the beneficiaries
