Project goals and tasks
The goal of the Project is to develop the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) for Ladyzhyn for Years 2018-2030. This also includes assistance to relevant stakeholders during SECAP approval by Ladyzhyn City Council and support to City Council during SECAP submission to the European Commission, including completing the SECAP template on the website of the Covenant of Mayors.
Project implementation will consist of four phases.
During the first, kick off phase, Advisory Committee and Working Group on SECAP Development will be established and the Work Plan developed and approved by all participants.
During phase two data/information on energy production and/or consumption in the key municipal sectors will be gathered and analyzed. These are mainly six sectors: heat supply; water supply and sewage; public transport and private transport; street lighting; residential and public buildings; waste management.
Phase three is SECAP development itself. This will provide for the involvement of the members of the Working Group on SECAP Development.
During phase four, Ladyzhyn SECAP will be approved by the local City Council and subnitted to the European Commission for approval. Prior to the approval, MDI will organize a public event to present the document to the Advisory Committee, local deputies, general public, and media.
