As of October 2019 number of Project participants exceeds 700 and they are from 407 localities all over Ukraine. More participants are expected to join during the academic year 2018-2019. 

MDI received applications from 330 new schools who did not participate in Project Wave Five. The leading regions for the number of participating schools are Lviv Region (74 schools), Zaporizhzhia Region (32 schools), Sumy Region (31 schools).

Since the Project start two months ago 130 mixed groups of school students from different regions were established. In November 2018 they’ll participate in Energy Efficiency Days in Dnipro and Lviv and later they’ll continue the training in energy saving and communal services delivery and housing management, they’ll play the "Smart House“ Game and participate in various contests and competitions, including the contest for energy saving among the schools and school students‘ families.

Two training courses implemented by the participating schools are "Energy Supply and Energy Saving“ for school students of 6-8th grades and "ABC of Housing Management and Maintenance“ for school students of 9-11th grades. The training courses were approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for the implementation at the secondary schools. In October 2018, the Ministry has approved the online distance learning program (letter 22.1/12-Г-926 of October 1, 2018).
