In February-March 2019, almost 21 km of DH pipes were insulated in 39 buildings with established HOAs in Donetsk region. The works were performed under DTEK Project TREND (Ukr. abbreviation for “Technologies of smart energy saving at our homes”), implemented by MDI. As a result, the temperature in many apartments has risen up to 25°C and sometimes more. In order not to waste money, on-site thermal energy output at these residential buildings was adjusted accordingly.

Co-owners from these buildings could immediately see the effect of insulation and TE output adjustment in the bills. For 1st stage buildings (output adjustment took place in February and March) the payments reduced in each month. E.g., for 66.5 sq.m apartment at building in 34 Haharina St, Dobropillia the February payment reduced by 160 UAH, while in March – for another 223 UAH. For 2nd stage buildings (output adjustment took place in March) the payments decreased only in March, however significantly – in 70.1 sq.m apartment (36 Skhidna St, Bilozerske) by 364 UAH, while in 44.7 sq.m apartment (31 Molodizhnyi Sub-District, Dobropillia) – by 381 UAH.
