We have resumed the project activities in Brovary and Vinnytsia.

To revise the project proposals, elaborated earlier within the FS, Anatolii Koliienko, SUDH consultant, has visited Brovary and based on the collected data and discussions with the beneficiaries prepared five proposals for DH rehabilitation in the city.

On April 25, a working meeting took place, gathering the representatives of NEFCO, Sweco, Brovary City Council and DHC. MDI consultants presented the potential investment projects. They cover arrangement of jumpers between existing heating networks, installation of a biofuel boiler and a flute gas condenser, rehabilitation of the heat supply system. This should lead to the improved DH system’s resilience, optimized hydraulic operational mode of the network, less non-productive heat and electricity losses, transition to the quantitative heat supply, mitigated environmental impact, as well as facilitate the resumption of DHW supply in the city.

The participants have discussed the proposed ideas and agreed upon the further steps. MDI have started to prepare the report presenting the investment projects in more detail, as well as their economic efficiency, ecological and social outcome.

Petro Babych, the Deputy City Mayor, has expressed his gratitude to the NEFCO reps and SUDH team for project’s re-launch and assured that the city and the DHC are ready to fully cooperate and provide necessary support within SUDH implementation.

MDI, as well, is very grateful to NEFCO for making SUDH Programme’s relaunch possible and providing vital financial support to Ukrainian DH in the times of hardship.
