On March 5, 2026, MDI LTD held a consultancy webinar on tariff formation and setting for heat produced at combined heat and power plants (CHPs). MDI LTD also invited NEURC representatives to speak at the event.

Based on a survey of a dozen DH specialists, MDI compiled a training agenda.

During the event NEURC representatives covered the legal requirements to tariff formation and setting for heat produced at CHPs. They also shared practical aspects of tariff setting procedure managed by NEURC. Aliona Nych, the Director of Pricing and Financial Management Department of MDI LTD, presented legal requirements and practical approaches to incorporating cost of the CHP-produced heat into the heat tariffs (according to CMU Resolution #869).

The financial specialists/economists of DH companies from 35 Ukrainian cities attended the event.

At the webinar the representatives of energy sector had a chance to hear the official stance of NEURC regarding the topics in question. They obtained new knowledge and information. Also, the participants actively posted in chat discussing the presented material.
