On June 22, 2026 the fourth (last) seminar for heat producers from renewables took place. It is a part of the training campaign on tariff formation and setting for heat from the renewables. Such capacity building measures are vital with regard to the amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On District Heating”, introduced by the Law of Ukraine #4777-IX.
About sixty participants attended the event, among them – LG specialists responsible for tariff setting and representatives of DH companies. The attendees had been pre-selected by MDI LTD after the prior registration.
The training campaign, comprising four seminars, is endorsed by Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine (MinDev) and financed by Securing Power, Advancing Resilience and Connectivity (SPARC) Program.
Prior to the seminar MDI LTD had surveyed the specialists of LGs and DH companies about key topics to be addressed during the event.
Nataliia Aleksieieva and Olena Nych, consultants of MDI LTD, spoke at the event. Nataliia Kravchenko, Head of the Department for the Life Support Systems Economy at MinDev, also attended.


During the seminar the following topics were covered:
- pending tariff formation issues in DH;
- changes in legal requirements and tariff formation methodology for heat from the renewables; and
- survey results.
Seminar agenda also included a Q&A session regarding tariff formation and setting.


The participants will receive the training and additional materials after the completion of a feedback form. In addition, e-certificates of attendance will be issued on June 30.
The first event took place on June 11-12. The second one – on June 15. The third seminar was delivered on June 17-18.
