82 school teachers from schools of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Luhansk, Vinnytsia, and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts and local supervisors assigned to their respective schools were trained in the implementation of the optional training course "ABC of Management of Housing and Utility Services" and online game "Smart House" during training seminars conducted in Kyiv and in Dobropillia on February 24 and 28 respectively. On January 20, 2017, the contest for the best photo collage/infographics on the Gala Launch of the DTEK Project "Energy Efficient Schools: New Generation" was completed. The contest was organized to familiarize local communities with the DTEK Project implemented in their cities and settlements.
The participating schools were to provide only one photo collage or infographics. During the contest, 42 photo collages/infographics were received. Each work could get maximum of 200 points. Evaluation of works was done based on two components: (1) number of "likes" collected in social networks (up to 100 points) and (2) evaluation by the contest jury (up to 100 points). The contest started on December 12, 2016 and was organized to promote energy efficient behavior of school students and to engage their parents in joint activities with the children.

On November 16, 2016, the Grand Opening of the first in Ukraine Training and Consulting Center for Design and Research on Nearly Zero-Energy Buildings was organized at Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture.
