Role of MDI: sub-contractor to NIRAS

Implementation period: TBC (expected start: Q4 2025)

The PPF is driving efforts to support Ukraine’s reconstruction by preparing and implementing urban infrastructure projects. The PPF focuses on:

• Project preparation and quick-win measures,
• Co-financing impactful projects, and
• Strengthening Swiss-Ukrainian business networks.  

The goal is to ensure the Ukrainian population benefits from improved or re-established urban public services. By enabling well-prepared and sustainable projects, the PPF contributes to the broader recovery and resilience of Ukraine’s cities.  

Expected results for the Implementing Agency:

• Effective management of the facility enabled,
• Robust project preparation and technical support ensured,
• Collaboration with stakeholders ensured to align projects with Ukraine's recovery goals.  

MDI, as a subcontractor to NIRAS, the Implementing Agency, will provide expertise in various sectors of municipal city infrastructure (incl. energy, water and wastewater), as well as capacity building and communication support.
